Five signs you need a cruise

During our years of experience here at CruiseDeals, we have come to recognise some textbook signs of someone who chronically needs a cruise. Whether your relationship needs to be reinvigorated with a holiday, the kids are driving you around the bend or you just find yourself staring wistfully out of the window… these could all be tell-tale signs that you need to get away. Check out our list of the top five signs below. Do any of these apply to you? If so, you need to book a cruise – and soon!

You need to kick-start your relationship

It happens to all of us from time to time…we get stuck into a routine with our loved one and the romance fades somewhat. If that sounds like you, and you want to put some va-va-voom back into your relationship, then you should consider going on a romantic cruise.

There is plenty you can do to treat your beloved when on a cruise holiday: you can dress up and indulge in a private meal; you can relax in an adult-only spa; or woo your partner in some of the most romantic destinations in the world, such as the Caribbean or the Mediterranean. When you return, you are guaranteed to have only eyes for each other!

The kids are bored

If the kids are driving you mad, then you’ll be pleased to hear that there is plenty to keep them amused on a cruise. Royal Caribbean International in particular have lots of facilities for kids, from rock climbing, to ice skating, to mini golf. Not to mention the fact that your children will be given the chance to explore a new port nearly every other day. With that in mind, there is absolutely no excuse for the kids to be twiddling their thumbs.

You can’t stand flying

Beats an aeroplane seat any day

The idea of a cramped aeroplane cabin not your idea of a perfect holiday? Funnily enough, it’s not ours either. Cruises are great because there are so many that sail from the UK, so no air travel is needed.

There’s no hassle with airport transfers either. When you sail into your port, you don’t need to worry about checking into a hotel or unpacking all of your clothes, as you’re already settled into your cabin!

Even though journey times on a cruise ship may technically be longer than a flight, it normally feels quicker because there is so much to do on board. Besides, a night’s sleep on a cruise ship is normally much more comfortable than trying to get some shut-eye on an almost upright aeroplane seat!

You spend ages staring out your office window, hoping the view will change

Watch the world go by

If you do this, then I’m afraid we have news for you: it’s not going to happen (unless, of course, you work somewhere like this). The good news is, however, that you can book a cruise to admire an ever-changing landscape as the ship slowly sails by a variety of coastlines. We particularly love Scandinavian cruises just for this reason: the mountains and fjords of the Norwegian coast are truly breath-taking and beat your average office view any day of the week!

You have a nice new outfit in your wardrobe but nowhere to wear it

If there is anywhere you can get away with wearing your tip-top glad rags, then it is a luxury cruise. Cunard cruises in particular have some exquisite 5* cruise liners with restaurants and bars perfect for a classy evening. Having said that, most of the cruise lines on our site have at least one upmarket dining option, but remember that there are also casual dining rooms too, just in case you aren’t in the mood for scrubbing up every single night!

Do any of these 5 signs apply to you? If so, give our experts a call and we will find the perfect cruise for you!
