Summer 2019 is set to be one to remember with Marella Cruises! They have today announced their newest addition to the fleet, Marella Explorer 2!
Not only will the cruise line amaze passengers with an impressive adult-only ship, but Marella Cruises have divulged another secret – they’re set to make the entire fleet All Inclusive as standard next May. Cheers to that!
What to expect from Marella Explorer 2
Previously known as Celebrity Century and Golden Era – Marella Explorer 2 will have a capacity of 1,814 passengers with 907 cabins, 40 per cent of them featuring balconies. Being the first adult-only ship in the Marella Cruises fleet, you can expect a more luxurious ambiance when you step onboard, as well as a few familiar favourites too.
Delicious dining options will still be available – with the likes of Kora La, Snack Shack and Surf and Turf still set to be onboard the latest addition to the fleet. Not to mention stylish bars like Aperitif, Squid and Anchor.
Your relaxation is covered too, with the Champneys Spa offering a range of treatments and an entertainment programme to mesmerise guests. After all, Marella Cruises recently won the ‘Best for Entertainment’ at the 2018 Wave Awards!
And if you’re looking for the wow factor, look no further! Marella Explorer 2 will welcome an impressive new cabin type -offering 102 square metres of space, you can expect a separate bathroom, dressing room, dining area and whirlpool bath – just ask for the Royal Suite!
Chris Hackney, MD of Marella Cruises, said, “We continue to look at ways to offer something different to our current customers who’ve come to enjoy our ships and friendly service onboard, and those who may be thinking about booking a cruise for the first time.”
Setting sail in May 2019, her home port will be in Naples, Italy and she’ll feature four new bucket-list worthy itineraries. Sailing to some of Europe’s most iconic hotspots including Venice, Rome and Dubrovnik – you’ll be running to jump onboard.
The decision was made to make Marella Explorer 2 adult-only due to the success of their current winter 2018 adult-only itineraries, sailing from Dubrovnik and Asia.
An All Inclusive cruise line
If that wasn’t enough, Marella Cruises will be making the entire fleet All Inclusive as standard! So whether you’re onboard Marella Dream or Marella Celebration come May 2019, head straight to the bar and take advantage of those All Inclusive drinks. That means all your transfers and tips are completely covered too!
New destinations and itineraries
Marella Cruises are also offering 11 new itineraries and seven new ports of call next summer – Cities and Ice, Idyllic Italia and Secrets of the Mediterranean, just to name a few. Sail away to Skagen in Denmark, Castellon in Spain, Alta in Norway and Santa Margherita in Italy – some of the wonderful new destinations on offer.
Hackney continued: “We’ve a fantastic diverse range of destinations on offer, with a real focus on the best hidden secrets of the Mediterranean and Scandinavia. We expect our Cruise & Stay offering to continue to prove popular especially for the new to cruise market.”
The summer 2019 programme will officially go on sale 5th April 2018 – make sure the date is in your diary!
