Big news for P&O Cruises fans – favoured member of the fleet Aurora will be converted into an adult-only vessel in 2019! She’s in for a real transformation, and will undergo a refit in March next year before returning to sailing on the 8th of April, 2019.
What about bookings already made on Aurora?
Passengers who have children and are already booked on Aurora for next year are being offered the option of re-booking onto one of P&O Cruises‘ family-friendly ships. That means they’ll have the choice of Azura, Oceana, Britannia and Ventura. However those wishing to cancel may do so, and will receive a full refund along with a future cruise credit of 5% of the value of their cruise.
The cruise line says the change is the result of extensive research and guest feedback. Senior vice president Paul Ludlow said: “All our ships have the signature elements of dining, service and great destinations.
“However, P&O Cruises is all about choice, whether our guests want the fantastic range of activities and children’s clubs on our family-friendly ships or prefer the peace and serenity of our adult-only ships.
With Aurora becoming a ship exclusively for adults, we are offering our guests even more choice, which means they can choose the holiday experience that is absolutely the right one for them.”
What else is in the pipeline for P&O Cruises?
The cruise line has orders placed for two large new generation ships, due to enter service in 2020 and 2022! You can read more about that here.
