What if you could experience enjoying some masterful chocolate creations onboard a dreamy luxury cruise, drifting along the sea against the backdrop of gorgeous scenery? Well, Princess Cruises has set a new bar of indulgence with the introduction of Chocolate Journeys.
The program was launched as part of the 50th Anniversary of the cruise line, with the experience being featured on each of the 18 Princess ships. And what’s more, it’s in partnership with famed chocolatier Norman Love!
Love is the former head pastry chef of Ritz Carlton hotels worldwide – so he knows a thing or two about fine chocolate. So for Princess Cruises, it was a no brainer – “We brought in chocolate consultants to ask who was the best person to partner with, and all of them had Norman Love on their shortlist” said Gordon Ho, Senior Vice President of Marketing.
The Chocolate Journeys program encompasses an array of sweet treats, including 15 chocolate desserts being served on a rotational basis in the ship’s main dining rooms, specialty restaurants and Chef’s Table dinners.
Cruisers can find the chocoholic desserts of their dreams in almost every part of the ship – from the chocolate cheesecake in the main dining room, to the premium chocolate and wine night at Vines Wine Bar, and even chocolate spa treatments in the Lotus Spa! Choccy really is everywhere!
And that’s not all…
Beautifully packaged boxes of Norman Love’s handmade chocolates are available in gift shops, bartenders will mix up decadent choccy cocktails – our favourite being the Chocolate Chile Margarita – and at the captain’s welcome reception passengers can toast the start of their cruise with a glass of bubbly, along with a Chocolate Love Pop truffle on a stick.
